Hot Yoga Club are putting on three Beginner Workshops throughout January 2019 for people wanting to try a new way to achieve your health, fitness and wellbeing goals.

Hot Yoga Beginner’s Workshop (90 minutes)

12th January: 1.00pm-2.30pm

19th January: 1.00pm-2.30pm

26th January: 1.00pm-2.30pm

Trying new things should be fun and exciting, but even we’ll admit that the thought of going to a hot yoga class for the first time with a bunch of people who have probably been doing it forever is actually a bit daunting!

Do not fear! We’re here to walk you through your first experience in the hot studio and make sure you know exactly what to expect from a hot yoga session.

This workshop is the perfect opportunity to try hot yoga with other beginners, also new to the hot studio. Workshops are led by our fully qualified teachers who will look after you. You’ll learn the fundamentals of hot yoga that will allow you to make the most out of future classes and begin to feel the benefits of a regular hot yoga practice.

You’re in safe hands and you’ll be learning in a supportive and fun environment.

We’re confident that once you get into the swing of it you’re going to love it and be a little bit hooked!

What does the workshop involve?

This workshop is 90 minutes long and takes place in the heated studio. We will guide you through the basics of our unique ‘Hot Yoga’ class which will be the foundation to your hot yoga practice. Follow a series of specific postures designed to challenge and work the whole body, stretching, lengthening and strengthening specific muscles and joints to leave you feeling awesome!

Breathing – learn breathing techniques (pranayama) that will get the heart pumping to send oxygenated blood around your body, and how to use breath to control heart rate, calm the mind and help you maximise the time in each posture.

Postures & Alignment – learn a range of poses (asana) and how to safely move in and out of them, how to modify for injuries and how to adopt strong and safe alignment to reduce risk of injury.

Language & Cues – learn the yoga lingo and get to grips with names of poses and the various cues you will hear during class.

Q&A – ask your teacher anything yoga or hot yoga related and learn some useful hints and tips for how to get the most out of your classes and the best way to continue your practice.
