Join Stuntman and Yogi Doug Robson as he takes you through a 90 minute session exploring the cross section of martial arts and yoga. Access your inner warrior and master this challenging yoga flow.
Drawing from his experience training and performing as a stuntman and his love for Yoga Doug has taken elements of Yoga, Mauy Thai, Kung fu, and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu to come up with a fresh and exciting new style of yoga. Combining martial arts strikes and forms with traditional yoga poses in a Vinyasa style, this workshop will empower you and introduce you to new ways of moving, with grace and power.
A native of Botswana and now London-based, Doug Robson qualified as a stuntman 7 years ago after training extensively in martial arts, gymnastics and platform diving.Since then he has doubled high-profile actors such as Channing Tatum, Colin Firth and Luke Evans and built an extensive list of credits, including award-winning productions Mission Impossible, The Avengers, Star Wars and Game of Thrones, among others.
Doug first took up yoga as a form of therapy after suffering a back injury. He has since developed a dedicated practice and in 2017 trained as a yoga instructor and began teaching. Mixing martial arts and yoga he has come up with a yoga flow that is as unique as his background.

Our Beginner’s Workshop is the perfect opportunity to try hot yoga without the pressure of not knowing what to do, when to breathe, which limbs to lift up and actually understanding what the teaching is telling you! You’ll learn the fundamentals of hot yoga that will allow you to make the most out of future classes and begin to feel the benefits of a regular practice. Workshops are led by our fully qualified teachers who will look after you. You’re in safe hands and you’ll be learning in a supportive and fun environment with others who are also new to the hot studio. We’re confident that once you get into the swing of it you’re going to love it and be a little bit hooked!
What does the workshop involve?
Our Beginner’s Workshop is 1 hr 45 minutes minutes long and takes place in the heated studio. We will guide you through the basics of our unique ‘Hot Yoga’ class which will be the foundation to your hot yoga practice. This class is a series of specific postures designed to challenge and work the whole body, stretching, lengthening and strengthening specific muscles and joints to leave you feeling awesome!
Breath work is key to any yoga practice. Learn the breathing techniques (pranayama) that will get the heart pumping to send oxygenated blood around your body to all organs and muscles that you’ll be working during classes. Learn how to utilise breath to control heart rate, calm the mind and help you maximise the time in each posture.
Postures & Alignment
Learn a range of poses (asana) from our unique ‘Hot Yoga’ class including how to safely move in and out of poses, how to modify for injuries and how to adopt strong and safe alignment to engage the correct muscles and reduce the risk of injury. in a BFree class.
Language & Cues
Start to familiarise yourself with yoga lingo, names of poses and the various cues you will hear during class. Yoga language and cues are universal so you’ll be able to take this with you to any other yoga classes you attend.
Time to ask your teacher anything yoga or hot yoga related that might not have been covered and learn some useful hints and tips for how to get the most out of your classes and the best way to continue your practice.
Workshops will run once a month a Saturday afternoon and will be taught by Amanda Free, Laura Hedges or Amanda Harvey. Once you’ve booked and paid online you’ll receive a confirmation email from us with everything you need to know about the workshop, what to bring and how to prepare.
